green energy project

This is a page just to mention some of the details and ups and downs concerning the green energy project here.

This entire scheme was funded by my lovely landlords. The majority of the stress and work has been done by them and fellow lodger speccy-bloke. My skills at welding, electronics, engine overhauls and the like are not sufficient. But I did/do help out with the simpler aspects.

The current setup is:

1 x 1 kW wind turbine supplied by Navitron.

1 x 4 kW diesel generator bought on Ebay - converted to run on waste vegetable oil.

24 x 2 Volt fork-lift truck batteries supplied by a local fork-lift service centre.

6 x 180 Watt PV-Solarpanels.

1 x 30 tube SFB solar collector supplied by Navitron.

1 x big reel of 10mm armored cable bought on Ebay.

1 x 8 kW inverter

2 x home made water heat exchanger setup

1 x garden shed

1 x hole in the ground

1 x supply of waste vegetable oil (flippy chippy man)

1 x Speccy Bloke to make sure it works

Lots of pipe in various sizes

Lots of patience
